Please read! I will keep this as short and sweet as I can. Unfortunately, one of my dearest friends has suffered a great loss. Actually, it's a loss I can't even imagine.

Early yesterday morning, Wade was returning home nothing seemed out of the ordinary but as went to open the door he heard the horrible howls from Jerry and Dante and the massive funnel of smoke that blew Wade almost back out the door .wade entered the house anyway was overcome by smoke inhalation but still managed to put out the fire find both dogs in the dark and get them pulled out the back door The best description he gave that shed the most truth on his reality is in the way he described the atmosphere. He said that the smoke had filled his entire house and it was so thick it was almost impossible to breathe. His vision was completely impaired and his only focus was to find his 2 boys and get them outside Dante was unconscious when he got to him and and Jerry just barely conscious and it was only really a miracle that he was able to get himself and both dogs out of the house.

Wade and both dogs were rushed to emergency. Wade was released this afternoon but both boys are still in urgent care although Jerry is ready to go but Dante is still under critical care and not doing great. It has been exactly 36 hrs since this nightmare transpired. Wade said there's never an easy end game to a situation such as this. Obviously, home owners insurance will cover the structural damage but as we all know, time is what is needed to heal such pain emotionally, mentally, physically and financially. As well as family and friends! These next few months are going to be extremely tough but my friend is strong and will overcome any and all adversity however within 24 hours vet bills alone are already sitting at $5,000. If there is anything you can or are willing to donate to help aid in the recovery of this sweet little family, it will be very much appreciated. As most of you know, the cost of vet care is one of the hardest battles for any pet owner. And I'm not sure how much more treatment the dogs will need. Also, if anyone has any available short term living such as an air bnb or even a studio apartment that they would be willing to discount or even donate to help create some extra stability during this devastating time, I know Wade would be more than appreciative. He works full time and has a job that is extremely time consuming and challenging. He manages and leads a large group of professionals that count on him as a coach and mentor, so having a stable home base is extremely important while decisions are made regarding the house and the possibility of potential repairs. Your help is appreciated more than you know.

I'll just say one last thing and that Wade was very resistant to doing this as he's not someone who likes asking for help but for those of you have been in Saint Louis for the last 9 years and have crossed paths with Wade you know that he is a person that has helped out a hell of a LOT of people and he never did it expecting anything in return. He's just know sometimes people need help and if he's in a position where he can help he has always stepped up to the plate. Whether it's been housing, money for kids or clothes or car stuff the list goes on. This is where peole can say just say a little thank you to someone who has helped a lot of folks over the years. 1 dollar or 5, wade would be blown away and eternally grateful for anything that comes his way.
