We are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in the Nakivale Refugee Camp in Uganda. Every day, many of these children face life-threatening challenges, including malaria, malnutrition, and lack of access to education and basic healthcare. Your support can make a real difference in saving lives and giving these children hope for a better future.

About Our Organization

Our association, EAED, was founded on April 11, 2021, by a Congolese refugee couple with a strong Catholic faith. We are committed to serving the most vulnerable, including children with disabilities. Officially registered with the Ugandan authorities on May 23, 2023, we currently care for 130 orphaned children in Nakivale Refugee Camp, Mbarara Province, Uganda.

Our Mission

Our primary goal is to provide essential support to these children, focusing on:

Nutrition: Ensuring children receive regular, healthy meals

Healthcare: Providing medical care to prevent disease and treat illnesses

Education: Supporting school attendance and learning opportunities

As our organization grows, we also aim to fund:

Infrastructure improvements: Including electricity and safe, durable buildings to house and care for the children

To achieve these goals, EAED organizes fundraising campaigns, donation drives, and community events. We also welcome in-kind support from individuals and businesses that can provide resources, expertise, or materials to help realize specific projects for the orphanage.
