Babzone, YouthZone, and New Yorkers for Children are three organizations working tirelessly to create brighter futures for vulnerable babies, children, and young adults in the UK and New York City. Each group addresses urgent needs in their communities, providing safe spaces, expert guidance, and opportunities for growth and connection.

Babyzone (UK) runs free, community-based hubs for families with children aged 0–5, offering evidence-based play, music, literacy, and sensory classes. In 2024, Babyzone welcomed over 21,000 family visits across seven sites, with 97% of parents reporting improved parenting experiences. Their recent “Champions for Children” campaign in London, launched with The Childhood Trust, aims to double every donation to fight child poverty and sustain vital early years services. Babyzone is expanding into underserved areas, but scaling up requires funding for new centres, specialist staff, and resources to reach more families in need.

New Yorkers for Children (NYC) supports foster youth with scholarships, financial aid, academic counseling, and emergency grants. In 2024, NYFC distributed emergency grants, providing monthly cash support to help youth stabilize and continue their education. Their programs increase graduation rates, college enrollment, and career readiness, filling critical gaps for young people transitioning out of foster care. Recent tragedies in NYC’s child welfare system have underscored the urgent need for reform and additional resources to protect and empower foster youth.

YouthZone (UK), part of the OnSide Network, operates modern youth centres open year-round for young people aged 8–19 (up to 25 with additional needs). These centres provide sports, arts, employability training, mentoring, and wellbeing programs, serving over 50,000 members. The cost-of-living crisis has increased demand for safe spaces, meals, and support, with YouthZones stepping in to offer free places and meals for teens during the summer. Donations help fund youth workers, equipment, targeted programs like “Get a Job,” and subsidized memberships so every young person can access these life-changing opportunities.
