On Sept. 17, 2025, Vonda was in a serious car accident on Stone Mountain Highway. She and her friend, who were carpooling, were struck head on when a driver crossed over the median, through the guard wires, at excess speeds. Vonda was transported to the trauma center at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta where she underwent emergency surgery on her spleen and was placed in the Intensive Care Unit- ICU. Vonda's injuries are extensive including fractures to her femur (which required surgery), a broken collar bone, a fracture in her shoulder socket, broken neck in three spots, a broken fibula, missing teeth, multiple lacerations to facial area and tongue requiring stitches, and multiple areas of bruising. She will be spending quite some time in the hospital recovering physically, but also mentally until she is moved to rehabilitation. In the meantime, it would be nice for Vonda to not have to worry about the everyday monetary items like bills and paying for meals as she will be out of work for an unknown amount of time. If you feel compelled to help, this would be the best way possible as she will be able to allocate the money where needed.
