Help Us Save Our Baby, Volk ❤️
I never imagined I would be here… asking for help to save someone we love this deeply.
Volk is not just our dog.
He is our baby. Our soul dog. A piece of our heart walking outside of our bodies.
We’ve had him since he was only 4 months old, and for the past 9 years, he has been there for every moment that shaped our lives—moving across cities, our engagement, our wedding, my pregnancy… and now watching over our daughter as she grows.
He has been our constant.
Our comfort on our hardest days.
Our joy on our best ones.
He is our home.
Recently, our world completely shattered.
Volk suddenly became extremely ill and was in unbearable pain. We rushed him to emergency, and within moments, we were faced with the kind of decision no pet parent should ever have to make…
A high-risk surgery with only a 50% chance of survival… or saying goodbye forever.
How do you say goodbye to your best friend… when they’re still looking at you… still trusting you… still fighting to stay?
We couldn’t.
So we chose to fight for him.
After a devastating $13,000 surgery, hours of fear, tears, and praying for a miracle… Volk survived.
Our boy chose to stay.
We thought that was the worst behind us…
that we had been given more time.
But shortly after, we were hit with another heartbreak.
Volk has lymphoma.
Cancer.
The only thing holding us together right now is that his cancer is currently stable… and that means we have a chance.
A chance to give him more time.
More walks. More cuddles. More moments with our daughter.
More life.
But that chance comes at a cost.
Volk now needs to undergo weekly chemotherapy treatments over the next few months to give him the best possible outcome and quality of life. These treatments will cost thousands more… on top of everything we have already gone through.
And the truth is… we are overwhelmed.
We would give anything—anything—to keep him with us.
And we are trying so hard to do that.
If you have ever loved a dog like family… then you understand this pain.
You understand that this isn’t “just a dog.”
This is love.
This is family.
This is everything.
We are asking, from the deepest place in our hearts… if you can help us fight for him.
No amount is too small. Even sharing this means more than you know.
Volk’s comfort will always come first.
The moment he shows us that he’s tired, or in pain, we will let him go with love, dignity, and everything we have.
But right now…
He’s still here.
Still fighting.
Still looking at us with so much life in his eyes.
And we are not ready to lose him.
Thank you for helping us hold onto our baby… just a little longer. ❤️
