Support Vladimir Mercado’s Recovery
Donation protected
Vladimir Mercado is a 17-year-old junior at Blanson CTE, dually enrolled as a high school student and with Lone Star College, working toward his construction certifications. On May 17, 2025, Vladimir’s life changed dramatically when he was involved in a serious four-wheeler accident. He was rushed into brain surgery, where doctors discovered multiple brain bleeds and had to remove a quarter of his skull to manage the swelling. Since then, Vladimir has been in the NeuroScience ICU at Memorial Hermann Medical Center, facing a long and uncertain recovery. He spent several days on a ventilator and in a coma, and although he is now breathing on his own, he continues to battle life-threatening complications including unstable blood pressure, heart rate issues, pneumonia, and infections.
Vladimir’s family has been by his side every step of the way. His mother never leaves the hospital, and daily meals with his mom, step-dad, and brother are shared at the medical center, where parking and food costs quickly add up. The emotional and financial toll is immense, as the family navigates not only the immediate medical crisis but also the ongoing expenses of parking, meals, insurance deductibles, and the need for future medical equipment to support Vladimir’s recovery.
Your support will help ease the burden on Vladimir’s family during this incredibly challenging time. Every contribution will go directly toward covering daily living costs at the hospital, medical expenses, and the equipment Vladimir will need as he continues his journey toward healing. Thank you for standing with Vladimir and his loved ones.
