My friend Viviana Perez, from the wonderful city of Cali, Colombia, now a 2nd grade teacher in Avon, Colorado, the mother of 3 boys and beloved friend of so many, could use our help. She is going to be upset at me for doing this, but I don't care. This wonderful young woman has been battling kidney disease and a transplant is required to keep this angel here with us. All plans were put in place and scheduled, but just days before starting the process, she suffered a heart attack caused by the kidney disease. She had emergency heart surgery to place a stent in a valve of her heart, which was successful, thanks to the outstanding work of the cardiologist team at Vail Hospital. The heart attack unfortunately has changed the medical treatments needed for her kidney transplant, changing the type of dialysis treatment, which will increase the time needed to complete the treatment. Viviana Perez is a 2nd grade teacher at Avon Elementary School. Viviana will have to miss more work than she had planned with the different dialysis treatment. This change had to be made due to the sudden heart attack she suffered. Viviana is a very strong and proud individual and would never ask for help, so I'm going to ask for her. Please, if you know Viviana, you know what a wonderful person she is, and I mean absolutely wonderful! She has more friends than I have ever seen anyone have. I'm asking for help. Please help her through this next year and ease her worries of being short on money to make ends meet. Much more work will have to be missed for her dialysis treatment. Viviana is worth helping and any amount that you can give, please know will be worth it. She is worth it. I'm sorry for my terrible writing.
