Hi, I’m Vivian, and I’ve been a flight attendant for Spirit Airlines for the past five years. On May 2, Spirit decided to cease operations without warning, and I was permanently laid off along with many of my fellow crew members. We showed up for work until the very last day, not knowing May 2 it would be our last. Suddenly, I found myself without a job, benefits to get back home , or health insurance, and now I’m left scrambling to pick up the pieces and start over.

Even though I’m actively searching for new employment, today’s job market is tough. We were supposed to get paid on May 15 and unfortunately we did not. I created this GoFundMe to ask for some assistance while I’m between jobs, so I can stay afloat and cover my essential expenses like rent, food, and other bills. Life is lifing right now, but I’m staying positive as I transition into my next chapter, whatever that may be.
