Vivi has been an important part of our family for the past 20 years, having early on helped to raise Eric and Elizabeth. At the same time, she's been raising 4 amazing kids of her own: Romaine (a college grad with his own family now on Long Island), Javaughn (a recent college grad), Tyler (a freshman in college) and Areyah (a 7th grader).

She now needs our help.

On Wednesday, September 6, an electrical fire broke out in her apartment. Thankfully, no one was hurt. But she lost all of her furniture, clothing, belongings, and her home. It may be many, many months before her home is habitable again. She is committed to keeping close to Areyah's school in the Bronx, and is trying to find interim housing and to begin to rebuild her home life.
