Reluctantly I am starting this GFM to ask for assistance in raising the funds needed to get the eye surgery done to improve my vision. I have been working hard for the last few weeks and have been able to raise a portion needed. For those who are unaware; I had cataract surgery that was not done properly. I have very poor, limited vision in my left eye; a blind spot that can't be corrected with glasses or contacts. I have been to 7 Opthamologists trying to resolve and improve my vision. Most recently I was seen by a local Opthamologist who says with 99% certainty; he can correct my vision. The procedure, his fee and the facility charge will be covered by my insurance; however the special lens is not covered and will cost me $5,500.00. That's a big hunk of change for anyone. I'm humbly asking for assistance to get this done. I will continue to work on raising funds but it will take me a long time to raise that much money alone. I know money is tight for most, if you can't give, please share; we might have a mutual friend who can help. I will be forever grateful if I can get me vision restored.
