Thanks for stopping by and learning about our story… We are a death metal band called Virulence based here in Tampa, FL. We love our community & music scene and we’re proud to be a part of it. Like so many residents here, we have been heavily affected by the dangerous wake of storm surge that Hurricane Milton brought with it and the damage it left behind.
Most importantly, the band and our families are safe after Hurricane Milton made landfall this past Wednesday. The damage we did sustain was to our rehearsal space that we have spent years in along with a large amount of equipment locked inside in hopes that it would be safe like every other hurricane that has threatened our home. Obviously this wasn’t the case this time around…
All of us in Virulence work very hard in our everyday jobs to pay for the things needed to keep the band continually pushing forward. That includes musical instruments, audio equipment, stage lighting, acoustic treatment, t-shirts/merchandise, CDs, recording equipment including GoPros, and so much more. We’re an independently funded band and also pay our way to record new material for our fans & friends to enjoy and bring to the world. That hard work and has taken a huge financial hit due to the flooding we sustained at our band’s rehearsal space & home.
In an attempt to recover from some of our losses, we’re asking for $5,000 to help us continue pushing forward. This will assist us in rebuilding our rehearsal home and getting the equipment necessary to record & perform once the water clears after this torrential devastation.
Thank you for learning about Virulence and our story during Hurricane Milton. We can’t express enough gratitude for your help and this storm will NEVER stop us from pushing forward and doing what we love in this band.
