*Help Virginia & Mark Through This Difficult Time**
Hello Everyone, As many of you know, my name is Virginia, and this is my husband, Mark. For those who may not be familiar with our story, let me share a little about us.
Mark and I met on an online poker site—he lived in Liverpool, England, and I was in Oxnard, California. We bonded over our love for the game, but more importantly, we shared laughter and a deep connection. Before we knew it, Mark came to the U.S., and we were married in January 2013.
Shortly after, I became seriously ill. Mark, along with my family and friends, stood by me every step of the way through my recovery. Due to my condition and the impact of COVID, I was unable to continue working. Mark took on the responsibility of supporting us, working tirelessly to cover our living expenses.
December 5, 2024, marked a huge milestone—five years cancer-free for me. What should have been a day of celebration became bittersweet, as that was the same day Mark returned home from what was supposed to be a routine surgery. Just weeks later, we received devastating news—Mark has cancer. It’s aggressive and has spread quickly.
While he has already undergone surgery, we are still waiting for a proper diagnosis due to delays with our insurance and the lack of urgency from the medical system. He has yet to see an oncologist, and every passing day feels critical.
Now, the roles have reversed—I am doing everything I can to financially support us, but it's a slow start, and we are struggling. We need help to cover medical costs, living expenses, and the uncertainty ahead.
If you can donate, any amount will help us stay afloat during this incredibly challenging time. If you’re unable to contribute financially, we would deeply appreciate prayers, shares, and support in any way possible.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With love, Virginia & Mark
