Support Virginia Ke Aashiq's Competitive Season

Virginia Ke Aashiq (VKA) is the University of Virginia’s premier award-winning gender-inclusive Bollywood Fusion dance team. Founded in 2020, we have performed at various cultural events at UVA and have competed and placed in Bollywood Fusion dance competitions throughout the nation. We incorporate various Indian dance forms including Bollywood, Bharatanatyam, Raas, and Bhangra with the intent of spreading awareness about various Indian art forms throughout the UVA and Charlottesville communities.

As a competitive dance team, we have competed in numerous dance competitions nationally all across the United States. This past year we had an amazing competitive season as we attended four national Bollywood Fusion competitions in Alabama, Ohio, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.

We look forward to continuing our competitive success and spreading Indian art throughout our community, but to do so we need your help! Every year we design new props, costumes, and choreograph new dances that we can perform in the community and in competitions, and we need your help to do so. Your support will enable us to continue presenting traditional Indian dance forms to the Charlottesville community and compete at more competitions in the upcoming season.
