Virginia Hernandez holds so many titles and carries all of them with poise, style, and ease. She is a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, hairstylist, and friend and now someone who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Cervical Cancer and a malignant tumor that will require chemotherapy and radiation.

Our mom’s cancer journey started with a small pain in her lower abdomen which quickly progressed to an unbearable one a couple months ago. It was only a few weeks ago when we got the news of the cancer diagnosis – and this was only after a trip to the emergency room.

Those that know Virginia have had the opportunity to learn about her unfailing love, her honesty, her compassion, her generosity, her respect, her strength, and her courage, but most of all her heart of gold.

After careful reflection and thoughtful prayer, our family has decided to start this GoFundMe for our mom. This aggressive cancer has brought major medical issues, a variety of medical treatments, and of course, some significant financial hurdles.

Although our mom would never ask for a dime from anyone, our family could truly use your help as we fight to overcome this diagnosis. We are asking our friends and family, along with anyone else willing to open their hearts to help us during this difficult time.

The goal of this GoFundMe is to help reduce our mom’s financial stress so she can focus solely on getting better and stronger for chemo, which is scheduled to begin in the next few weeks.
