Help a Young Mom Fight Breast Cancer & Be There for Her Kids
Story:
Hi, my name is Virginia Carr, and I’m 27 years old. I’m a mom to two beautiful little ones — a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old — and right now, I’m facing the hardest battle of my life.
A few months ago, I found a lump in my left breast and another under my arm. After a biopsy, I was diagnosed with Stage 2, Grade 3 Invasive Carcinoma of No Special Type, a fast-growing and aggressive form of breast cancer. On top of that, there’s concern it may also be present in my right breast, I’ll be undergoing an MRI and potentially another biopsy soon. I also have to get a CT scan and pelvic exam to find out if the cancer has spread.
This diagnosis came just two months after losing my mom to breast, pancreatic, and lymphoma cancer. Cancer has already taken so much from my family, and now I’m in the fight of my life, not just for me, but for my kids.
Right now, I’m undergoing 18 weeks of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and then I’ll be facing surgery. My days are filled with doctor appointments, treatments, tests, and just trying to keep going for my kids. It’s overwhelming, physically and emotionally.
I’m asking for help.. Anything you can give will go directly toward medical bills, transportation to treatments, childcare, and everyday expenses while I’m unable to work. Most of all, your support helps give me the chance to heal and focus on staying strong for my children.
Please, if you’re able to donate or even just share this page, it would mean the world to me and my family. Your kindness and generosity could make all the difference in this fight.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
