Hello and this is hard, I am a 72 year old woman, who has worked 60 years and last November I lost my job after 22 years, saying I could no longer do my job (yeah right they are letting go of the older employees), I have an adult handicapped Son from a birth defect that has progressed and can no longer work, too young for SSI, even though the state has him diagnosed disabled on lifetime medical, but can't get surgery at this time and now I take care of him and my grandson after his ex-wife didn't want him anymore and had an affair, now I am down to my social security monthly payments $1301. And my bills are more than I get, and my esop from my employee doesn't go into effect until November 2026, Rent is $1660, internet $145. Phone $130. Medication $235. Not including groceries and household items needed. (after using up my savings for the last 6 months). Been fighting the state for food stamps help since December, pending an appeal that can take up to 3 months probably longer, A friend of mine said, I should go on go fund me and see if I could help from anyone out there until my esop comes in for food and help with other bills, I no longer have a car, after being towed away 2-weeks after I moved in at current residence 2 years ago for being abandoned in front of my home, Im just afraid were going to wind up homeless so that's my story, thanks for listening, sincerely Virginia Vargo
