3/27 Ripley is doing amazing at the board and train. I did come up with funds for two more weeks and those run out on April 1st. I am trying to raise a little bit more money for at least one week and food. If you are able to donate I appreciate it. I saw his face and simply could not let him stay at lancaster. He was scheduled to Die 2 days after his transporter picked him up. I didn't plan it, I didn't do it through a rescue, I just jumped on it which may have been a mistake but every time I get an updated photo of how well he's doing I can't believe it was a mistake. I think his home is out there and I want to be a part of finding it for him. Every little bit helps! Thank you for considering it!
3/9 Ripley was successfully transported to board and train in Greenfield by Josh Willms. He has been working with him for almost 2 weeks since he's doing great. My current Foster dog with the rescue I volunteer for is still with me and until she goes home I cannot bring Ripley here. We are raising additional money for him to continue his board and train with Josh!
Original : If you have this link, then you are probably pretty well informed already, but I am raising money for the transport and boarding for this Rottweiler Mastiff mix that is stuck in the Lancaster shelter and due to be euthanized on Saturday.
The transportation and boarding is going to be $900, and then because we are taking him before he was neutered, I am hoping to fund that as well, and I believe it will be somewhere around $350, barring any other medical complications. I am also planning to reach out to veterinarians that I know to see if they would be willing to do a discounted rate. Any money that is over the goal will go directly to Virgil's care, such as I'm going to need to buy him a big bag of dog food, lol! GoFundMe automatically suggested $4,500. Which would obviously be a lovely amount to be able to donate to Virgil and tenova's Ark but specifically for this transportation neutering and my first bag of food for this big guy is the amount I have chosen.
Additional funds that Virgil does not need will be donated to the rescue that I am a board member for. I think you all know the name already, but it is Novy's Ark!
Absolutely none of this money will end up in my pocket; it will all go to care for Virgil or another rescue dog!
