Help Support Vinny's Long Road to Recovery

Hi Everyone,

This is Vinny’s family, asking for some help.

As some of you know, Vinny has been ill since November and not knowing exactly what was going on with him or anything that would cause the pain and discomfort that he has been in.. They finally found pancreatitis and it is very treatable so after a week in the hospital, and surgery to remove sledge from his gallbladder thinking that it was affecting the pancreas, he went home on antibiotics with more testing to come.

He never made it to his testing…. not even a week later and he ended up in the emergency room again this time with unbearable pain to even breathe.

Somehow, that pancreas started to die … we’re still not sure exactly how this corresponded but he ended up with a bacterial infection in his stomach and after a six hour surgery and then two days later to follow another four hour surgery… our brother has lost quite a few organs and had some cut away trying to save some of those organs.

Without going into extreme detail, our brother is in ICU and we are told that he would probably be there for at least two weeks if not longer. Perhaps a total hospital stay of up to SIX MONTHS then a rehabilitation center following that…. He’s had some complications and we ask for Prayer for our brother.

Our family has had to take shifts, driving back and forth to the hospital every day. Linda, the eldest sibling hasn’t been able to work as she has not left Vinny’s side through it all.

Vinny has several bills like the house mortgage, car payment, and new medical bills that are accumulating by the day. Medical bills such as hospital stay, medication, physical therapy and the months stay at a rehabilitation center to follow. unfortunately these bills haven’t been paid, and is on the verge of losing the house that means so much to our family. As you know, disability funds take a while to kick in and the pay isn’t the normal pay that he’s used to receiving. The doctor anticipates 6 months to a year off from work depending on his recovery.
