Help Vincent Return Home and Get the Support He Needs

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Angelica Columna, and I am reaching out with a humble request for help. My partner, Vincent Fernan, has recently been diagnosed with ALS, and his condition has progressed to the point where he is no longer able to walk unaided or drive. This diagnosis has brought many challenges to our lives, but we are determined to make the most of the time we have together and create meaningful memories.

One of Vincent's greatest wishes right now is be able to travel regularly to his hometown of St. Joseph/Benton Harbor to visit his family.

However, due to Vincent’s inability to climb stairs and other mobility challenges, we’re unable to stay with family when we go.

We are raising funds to help cover the costs of travel for this trip and upcoming travel home. Including gas, food, a hotel, and restaurant expenses.

Although his insurance will eventually cover a large specialized, ALS wheelchair. We awould like to purchase a lightweight folding electric wheelchair that will fit in my Honda Civic, so we can ensure that Vincent is comfortable and mobile during any upcoming travel.

Any extra funds raised will go toward future travel, buying groceries, a meal delivery service, and additional disability-friendly furniture and assistive devices not covered by insurance to make his home more accessible for Vincent as he continues to battle ALS.
