During the heat of last summer, Vincent noticed a growth under his arm. By the second week of October, Vincent was admitted to the emergency room for labored breathing and severe pain. Scans showed the single growth had spread across Vincent's body. Additional masses were identified in the liver, adrenal gland, neck, spleen, and included bone marrow involvement. The cancer also caused a pulmonary embolism in the lung. Vincent was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Vincent started R-CODOX-M, a highly intensive primarily inpatient chemotherapy, within a few days of diagnosis. Due to the necessity to start treatment promptly, Vincent was unable to anticipate or prepare for the challenges ahead. Vincent has primarily relied on his savings, his mother, and gifts from close friends. Vincent has nearly completed the R-CODOX-M chemotherapy regimen. However, there are many needs and challenges ahead on the road to recovery. Vincent is seeking your help to get back on his feet.
