Vincent Peel is a lively, intelligent 9-year-old who attends Rustic Oak Elementary. He loves video games, Pokémon, turtles, and dreams of becoming an astronaut one day. Vincent has an 11-year-old sister, Lorelai, who attends Alexander Middle School. On December 3, Vincent began experiencing pain in his right side, and his mom, Andrea Peel, took him to urgent care, worried it might be appendicitis. Instead, the cat scan revealed signs of leukemia, and Vincent was quickly transferred to UTMB. After further tests, including bloodwork and a spinal tap, Vincent was diagnosed with ALL - Leukemia. He started chemotherapy immediately and has faced several complications, leading to an extended stay in the ICU that could last weeks or even months. The road ahead will require extensive treatment.
Andrea Peel is a dedicated high school teacher in Pearland, and Vincent’s dad, Brandon, is a technology lead at Dickinson High School. As Vincent receives treatment, Andrea may not be able to work, and the financial burden of medical expenses and daily living costs will be significant. This fundraiser is not only to help with Vincent’s medical bills but also to support Andrea and Brandon so they can focus on caring for their son without the added stress of financial worries.
Andrea has touched countless lives in the community, always giving back and supporting her students and those she cares about. She never asks for help, but now her family needs the support of the community she has served so selflessly. Any contribution will mean the world to the Peel family and help them live with less worry as they navigate this unimaginable time.
Thank you for your support.
