We are asking for help due to a crashing financial strain. Back in June of 2022 my husband Carlos Rios was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He was a beloved father and husband. He was an outstanding individual, known for his kindness, generosity, intelligence and who would remain positive at all times. He had supported his kids in competitive sports through many sacrifices to get them where they currently are at.

After 26 years of hard work and dedication my husband's employer laid him off due to the company downsizing in April of 2025. As a result of the layoff my husband's life insurance was terminated. Since, my husband was the main financial provider of our household. I am now left with financial and emotional burden.

Your donations will enable Vilma to cover the costs associated with Carlos's funeral and to ensure that her children have the opportunity to succeed in life.
