Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for support for our nephew, Corporal Viktor Buzalsky, who is currently serving active duty in the United States Marine Corps.

Viktor is currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan, where he suffered a serious service-related injury. He has since been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), a condition that has caused severe pain and partial paralysis in his lower body. Due to the seriousness of his condition, Viktor is being medically evacuated to the VA Hospital in San Diego so he can receive the specialized care and treatment he urgently needs.

His wife, Faith, immediately flew to Okinawa to be by his side and will accompany him to San Diego. As you can imagine, this unexpected crisis has placed an enormous emotional and financial burden on them both. Faith will be away from work for an extended period, impacting their household income at the exact time when expenses are increasing—travel, lodging, meals, and other unforeseen costs that come with navigating a medical emergency far from home.

Viktor has dedicated himself to serving his country with courage and strength, and now he and Faith need a community of support to help carry them through this difficult chapter.

We are asking for donations to help cover:

Travel and lodging expenses while Faith stays by Viktor’s side

Lost wages from her time away from work

Meals, transportation, and other essential daily needs

Additional costs that will arise as Viktor begins his recovery journey

Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference in lifting some of the financial strain so Viktor and Faith can focus fully on healing and recovery.
