Support Victor's Cancer Treatment

Hi everyone! 

These are my amazing parents Victor and Cindy, they have been together since I was 20 years old! Victor has been such an amazing father in my life and loves me like his own! With their permission, I am setting up this GoFundMe so the burden of finances can be lifted off of them.

Right now, they need our help, if you would be so kind to read through this and donate if your heart prompts you.

My dad (who will be 80 years old June 2025) has had slow progressing cancer for a little while now. The drs believed he would outlive the cancer before it took his life. They have been monitoring it as well as treating with surgery and medication.

Unfortunately we found out recently that in order for the cancer to not spread to the rest of his body he will need to go through 6-9 weeks of radiation, starting with 30 consecutive days of radiation to try and kill the cancer.

Thankfully the cancer has not metastasized, but the drs said if he doesn’t have the radiation, it will.

He was supposed to start his radiation late January 2025, however it has now been pushed out to March due to insurance issues.

My parents now have to come up with 20% of the treatment that Medicare won’t cover. He already has high monthly payments that he is paying for. When speaking to a representative before now, the representative said they could add secondary insurance to cover that remaining 20% and they could do this later. But it is now later and they went to get secondary insurance and they found out that no one will insure him due to him having cancer.

He is now will have to pay the 20% of his treatment out of pocket which is over $20K, in addition to the high monthly payments.

The other day, he said, "Maybe I should take my chances, because we can't afford to do the radiation." My mom told him, "Don't lose hope, God will find a way”!

We are also asking for prayers for the whole family and for my parents as they walk through this journey. We are praying for healing and the cancer to be gone!
