Hi, my name is Victor, I live in the Los Angeles area, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my family. There are six of us living together, my mom, my sisters leisha and Brenda along with her daughters Mili and Voni, and myself also along with our dogs who are very much part of our family.

Recently, everything has changed when my mom who has always been the main provider for our household was hospitalized with a serious liver problem and because of her health, she’s unable to work for the next several months and needs time to recover. At the end of this month my mom's health insurance is coming to an end. With the hard fact of her losing both her job and her opportunity for insurance makes this situation extremely dire. We will not be able to afford the medication my mom needs to recover, nor will we be able to support our rent or bills. We have just been told that we have just a mere 10 days until we are evicted if we cannot pay.

Right now only my sister and I are able to work and despite our efforts it isn’t nearly enough to cover rent, utilities and basic living costs. We have no savings for a down payment on a new place, and with bills piling up, we’re facing the real possibility of just being left without a home and at the exact time my mom needs a safe and stable place to heal.

We’re asking for help to:

• afford my mom's medication and care

• Secure a safe home so my mom can focus on recovery

• Care for our dogs so our family can stay together

• Have food on the table

• Keep the lights and power on
