"Success isn’t just about winning awards—it’s about fighting for the ones you love, believing in your dreams when the world says ‘no,’ and turning every setback into a reason to keep going."
I’m Victor, and my journey as a filmmaker and father has been filled with twists that tested my strength, taught me the value of persistence, and showed me how hope can change a family’s story. My strength was tested when I fought for custody of my daughter and brought her home to Dallas from Virgina, determined to give her a future full of possibility. Every day, I juggle my passion for filmmaking, my studies, my relationships and the responsibility of being a supportive father. My dream is simple: to use film to inspire others—and to show my daughter that perseverance transforms struggle into success.
My strength was pushed to its limits when I had to rush to Virginia for an emergency—my daughter needed me, and I had to get her from CPS. At the same time, I was supposed to get married, but my priorities shifted overnight. Amid all this, I was still working on my final behind-the-scenes project for the movie "Here for a Good Time," I was determined to graduate on time with my classmates. Every moment was a test of resilience—balancing family, academics, and my future.
The greatest blessing in my life is having my daughter here, safe and thriving. When I got the emergency call from CPS in Virginia, dropping everything to bring her home wasn’t a burden—it was a privilege and a moment I’ll never forget. Knowing she’s surrounded by love, getting straight A’s, and building a new life with me here in Dallas is my reason for everything I do.
Even amidst all that chaos—traveling across states, planning my wedding, finishing my final film project—I felt incredibly grateful. On February 22nd, after a year of anticipation, I married my best friend, and together, we started our blended family. These moments remind me why I persevere and dream bigger.
Graduating from Mediatech with my diploma was a huge win, but I knew my journey couldn’t stop there. To better support my family and deepen my understanding of filmmaking, I decided to enroll at Full Sail University, one of the very best schools for my field. As much as I wish I could study on campus in Florida, being together as a family in Dallas is most important—so I’ll be taking courses online, with plans to go for in-person training during the summer.
This next chapter comes with a real financial challenge: Full Sail’s tuition is $72,500. Even after securing Stafford Loans totaling $44,526.78, I’m responsible for a remaining balance of $28,995.11—and I still owe $18,000 for my Mediatech diploma. My immediate goal is to raise $10,000 to make these first payments and keep my dream alive for myself and those I love.
