Support Victoria's Life-Changing Surgery

I am asking for your support in covering the cost of a crucial surgery that will change my life. For the past four years, I have been living with ruptures, fractures, and tendon tears due to a previously unknown bone deformity and tendon abnormality in my left foot that has made every step excruciatingly painful and has severely impacted my quality of life.

In the spring of 2020 just after I turned twenty-nine, I felt a painful pop in the bottom of my left foot and was suddenly unable to put my heel down due to the intense pain. This incident led to a cascade of injuries affecting my ankle, knee, hip, and lower back. What started as a single injury has grown into a daily battle with constant pain and limited mobility. Despite seeing sixteen different medical providers, traveling out of state for consultations, and trying countless treatments, my symptoms have only progressed, and the pain has become increasingly debilitating.

After exhausting all in-network options, I have found that the only viable solution is an out-of-network surgery performed by a highly specialized surgeon in Maryland. Unfortunately, this surgery comes with a significant financial burden that is beyond my means and I am humbly asking for your help to cover these costs.

This surgery is not just a medical necessity; it is a lifeline to restoring my ability to live without constant pain and regain a semblance of normalcy. Without this surgery, I will continue to deteriorate, likely leading to the need for a below-the-knee amputation—a scenario I would like to avoid. If this surgery fails, an amputation is the next step, but I have to try one more time to salvage it before moving forward with something more drastic and irreversible.
