Earlier this year, while in the midst of moving with her long-term boyfriend, Victoria noticed lumps around her neck. After seeing a series of doctors who assured her that the lumps were benign and the result of a cold, Victoria's family rushed her to the hospital one night and received the news that at the age of 27, she had Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. Victoria was confronted with an uncertain medical journey in what should have been an exciting new chapter in her life.
Instead of starting this next chapter of her life, Victoria has to navigate a complicated and unforgiving healthcare system. After receiving her diagnosis, Victoria underwent two surgical biopsies that resulted in the removal of two lymph nodes. To retain her chances of starting a family, Victoria underwent an extensive and costly egg retrieval process. She now receives bi-weekly chemotherapy treatments.
A devoted friend, partner, sister, and daughter, Victoria has spent her life caring for those around her. Even through this challenging period, Victoria still makes herself available to comfort and support her friends and family. She is eager to be healthy enough to travel, attend important life events of her friends and family, and train for a half marathon, activities other people in their late twenties enjoy daily.
We hope for your support during this trying time for Victoria and her family. Funds raised from here will go directly towards covering her increasing medical bills. All and any contributions will be greatly appreciated and will make a difference. This fundraiser will alleviate some of Victoria's daily stress and ensure she knows she is not in this fight alone.
Thank you in advance for your support, and we hope that you will keep Victoria in your thoughts.
