For 16 years, Victoria McDonald has faithfully served the students and families of the Livingston Parish School Board. As a dedicated school bus driver, she has done far more than transport children to and from school — she has greeted them with a smile, offered encouragement on hard mornings, and built lasting relationships with the families she serves. For Victoria, this has never been just a job. It has been her way of giving back to the community she loves.
In mid-January 2026, Victoria received life-changing news: she was diagnosed with B-Cell Follicular Lymphoma, a slow-growing form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This cancer affects the lymphatic system — including the lymph nodes and bone marrow — and is considered a chronic condition requiring ongoing treatment. While it may be slow growing, it brings long-term medical care, uncertainty, and significant financial strain.
As Victoria focuses on her health and treatment, she is facing mounting medical expenses and the challenge of covering everyday living costs without her regular income.
For years, Victoria has shown up for our children. She has shown up for our families. She has shown up for our community.
Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
Your donation will help ease the burden of medical expenses not fully covered by insurance, ongoing treatments, and essential household needs during this difficult year. Every gift — no matter the size — makes a meaningful difference. If you are unable to give, sharing this fundraiser with others is just as appreciated.
This fundraiser has been organized by her fellow Doyle bus drivers — friends and coworkers who have stood beside Victoria for years and wanted to create a way for the community she has faithfully served to support her in return.
Thank you for rallying around Victoria and her family with love, prayers, and generosity.
