As many of you know, I’m in my final stretch of law school and preparing to take the Oregon Bar Exam in February 2026. This is the last big step before I can officially become a licensed attorney, something I’ve been working toward for years.

I’m a first-generation college and law student, and getting to this point has taken a lot of long nights, part-time jobs, and determination. I’ve focused my work on environmental and immigration law, because I truly believe everyone deserves clean air, safe communities, and fair treatment, no matter where they come from.

Now that I’m close to graduation, the next hurdle is bar prep and exam costs. Unfortunately, they add up quickly, around $3,300 total, which includes the BARBRI Bar Review Course ($1,699), the exam application and investigation fees ($1,600 + $600), and the required laptop/testing fees ($150).

Deadlines are coming up soon, and even though I’m working and budgeting carefully, it’s a big expense to cover all at once.
