Support Victoria Jackson's Study Abroad Journey

Hello! My name is Victoria Jackson and I am an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, currently majoring in English-Literature and minoring in Linguistics.

During my high school career, I developed an interest in learning Spanish after studying the language for a language portfolio. After graduating, I continued to study Spanish, and later decided to take an introductory Linguistics course out of curiosity. I became fascinated with the development and structure of languages, and was eager to gain firsthand experience with the language I had been learning.

With some curiosity and research into my school's opportunities, I chose and was accepted into a study abroad program in Barcelona, Spain for the upcoming fall semester! This decision to go abroad was made with a lot of planning, forethought, and support along the way. I am more than excited to have an opportunity such as this one.

While I wish I were able to completely fund my studies myself, I am in need of support to achieve this dream. Being a low-income college student, there are many hurdles I have needed to jump through to get to this point. My family's financial and emotional situation changed drastically following the death of my father in May of 2020, which has made supporting my college education and overall livelihood difficult at times.

I created this GoFundMe to fund my tuition, travel costs, and expenses while abroad. I am incredibly thankful to have been given this opportunity, and would deeply appreciate if you considered donating to help fund my academic endeavors.
