We need your help to purchase the facility! The owner of the facility is putting it on the market in 30 days. Please help Victoria Acres to continue to serve our community!
Victoria Acres Equine Facility is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Guilderland, NY. The facility serves to empower children and adults with or without physical and developmental challenges through the use of Equine Assisted Activities. Our clients have various diagnoses such as: autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, emotional & behavioral difficulties, multiple sclerosis, PTSD, stroke victims, and substance abuse issues . Various programs that the facility provides include Horse Sense, Path International, therapeutic riding, Groundworking, and Horses4Heroes. These programs provide clients with physical, psychological, cognitive, social, and educational benefits.
Victoria Acres is asking for $30,000 to put towards the down payment on purchasing the facility and making it a permanent place for students to ride. Consistency is very important for our clientele. We hope to continue providing therapeutic riding services, which helps strengthen our ability to aide in improving our clients' overall well-being.
We are asking for this funding within the next 30 days, as the property owner is hoping to sell soon. We hope to continue being able to serve our population and provide them with feelings of independence and normalcy along with learning valuable physical and academic skills while on a horse. Monetary and physical donations are welcomed.
