Support Victor Rivas' Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
Well, turning 40 wasn't exciting enough this month, so everyone's bestie, Victor Rivas threw in a little strokey poo to keep us all on our toes. Last Sunday while playing tennis, he suffered a hemmorrhagic basal ganglia stroke, and was rushed to Kennestone for treatment. A CT scan showed bleeding deep in his brain, likely caused by hypertension. The facial paralysis and loss of limb mobility typical of a stroke has improved to near normal during his hospital recovery, but he will need to take the next couple of weeks easy while he recovers. He will need another MRI in the next month or so to rule out the inconclusive diagnosis of an abnormality causing the stroke, or re-occurring.
Victor is, as always, in good spirits and doing well, we are so thankful his tennis partner Danny acted quickly. It's so important he has stress free time to rest and fully recover. This GoFundme is to cover this time off over the next few weeks as he gets back on his feet, and medical follow up.
