Victor Roman, the beloved owner of Los Guapos Latin Food, has been a pillar of our community for the past two years. Alongside his partner LuLu, Victor has poured his heart into creating a restaurant that not only serves incredible food but also brings people together, heals, and fosters a true sense of family. Los Guapos is more than just a place to eat—it's a gathering spot that has touched countless lives and defined what it means to be a supportive, welcoming community.

This past week, Victor was shockingly detained by ICE and is currently being held in Kansas City, facing imminent removal to Guatemala. His partner, LuLu, and her young children, along with Victor's two young boys by a previous marriage, Berek (9) and Enzo (5) —after whom the restaurant is named—remain here in the community. The family now faces this crisis without Victor. The suddenness and severity of this situation have left the family and our community reeling, unsure of what the future holds for Los Guapos and the people who depend on it.
