Support Victor Gallegos' Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Tuesday, July 23rd, Victor Gallegos fell approximately 30 feet off a roof while working, hitting the cement below. Thankfully, the ambulance service arrived within five minutes and rushed Vic to the hospital. He was then life-flighted to OSF St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford, IL. Vic is now in the ICU, suffering from multiple facial fractures, a broken foot, and a spinal injury. While he can feel his arms, hands, legs, and feet, he is having difficulty moving them normally.
Vic is a loving boyfriend, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was supposed to visit his family in Colorado for ten days starting July 24th, but those plans have been postponed indefinitely due to his injuries. We don't know how long his recovery will take, but we do know it will be a long and challenging journey.
With mounting hospital bills, hotel expenses for his family, and the loss of income, we are facing significant financial difficulties. Paula, Victor's girlfriend, has been by his side in Rockford since the accident, only leaving the hospital to sleep for a few hours. They have been together for four years, and Vic moved to Illinois 2 1/2 years ago to work as a roofer.
Victor's family plans to come to Illinois in the coming weeks to support him, and he is looking forward to seeing them.
We deeply appreciate any support you can provide. We know times are tough for everyone, but any contribution helps.
Victor has a strong faith in God and appreciates all the prayers. All proceeds from this campaign will go directly to supporting Victor's future care and covering bills while he is unable to work. Thank you for your generosity and support.
Organized by Paula (Victor's girlfriend) with the help of her daughter Jennifer.
*We will be updating as soon as we have more information on Victor's situation.
