Luton Lions Epic Trek for Earthquake Victims

Atilla Ustun and Mehmet Karakus are organizing this fundraiser to benefit Luton Turkish Community Association.

Luton Lions will be walking 30 plus miles from Luton to the Turkish Embassy in London in aid of those impacted by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

On 6th February 2023 a series of devastating earthquakes hit southern Turkey and north-west Syria. Reports now suggest that more than 24000 people have been killed, and many thousands more injured. These figures continue to rise. 17 million people in the affected area are in urgent need of shelter, food and medical aid.

Luton Turkish Community Association will transfer all proceedings raised from the Luton Lions Epic Trek Challenge directly to the

Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). AFAD is coordinating disaster response efforts and providing humanitarian aid to areas affected in Turkey and Syria.
