Support Victims - San Jose Flooding
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Gui and I am just a resident of San Jose.
You all might be aware of the flooding here in Santa Clara County. This past night (Feb 21) the mandatory evacuation expanded and we have about 14,000 people affected!
Last night I was able to help friends evacuate their homes, and visit a couple shelters. Somehow in few hours we were able to get some pizza, blankets, jackets and toiletries to two shelters. It really broke my heart, and also fill me with love to see others helping out.
Our goal is to raise some money to help few trusted organizations (listed below) that is actively supporting the local community and the city's office of emergency service.
If you are not confortable donating here, few free to drop some blankets, jackets, socks and underwear, dog food, diepers, and hygine kits (body soap, tooth brush and paste, deodorant, hair brushes) either to my house, to an evacuation centers or to local shelters.
Here is a list of few organizations that you could support directly:
** Bocardo Center (HomeFirst):
https://www.homefirstscc.org
** Bill Wilson Center (Youth):
http://www.billwilsoncenter.org/m/
** Comercial Street Inn (Family and children):

No matter how you do it, your help and community engagement is deeply appreciated.

I will send updates on how we are distributing the resources.
Thank you so much!!! <3
