Support Victims of Texas Ridge Wildfire in Idaho

The Texas Ridge wildfire in Latah and Nez Perce Counties, Idaho has destroyed 5 residences so far. We know personally of at least two of those people in our texting group of close neighbors and through non-profits we volunteer with in our community. We don't know their exact needs as of now as the situation and the fire is still developing, but even with insurance, it will be emotionally and financially demanding for people to recover and start their lives again. All donations received will go to families impacted by this emergency. Please consider contributing what you are able to help, and keep the impacted community in your prayers. Thank you!

1. How you are related to the person(s) you are raising funds for? I am a friend and colleague of several impacted families in the fire evacuation zone.

2. Your transfer plan to get the funds from your GoFundMe to the intended recipient(s): Neighbors and leaders within the community impacted are the best qualified to make decisions about who has the greatest need among the victims of the fire. Several community leaders have organized a decision-making body associated with a local relief fund. The money from this GoFundMe effort will be transferred to that relief fund.

3. How the funds will be spent? The funds will be spent by acquiring needed items for fire victims to get re-established. No money will be distributed to any person on the decision-making body.
