Join Approach International Student Center in extending a helping hand to the victims of the devastating floods in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The recent heavy rains have affected nearly 1.5 million people, with thousands displaced from their homes and in urgent need of assistance.

What's Happening:

Over 85% of municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul are facing the aftermath of these relentless storms. As of the latest update, 163,786 people are displaced, and 67,428 are seeking refuge in shelters. The situation remains critical, with 100 confirmed fatalities, while 130 individuals are still missing and 374 are injured.

Impact on Communities:

The flooding has left 459,000 people without electricity and more than 523,000 without access to clean water, further exacerbating the challenges faced by the affected communities.

Ongoing Crisis:

The rain hasn't stopped, and this tragedy is far from being over. The strong winds, relentless rain, and severe cold are impeding people from having any peace of mind. In fact, more and more people are being affected as the days go by, adding to the urgency of our relief efforts.

Our Commitment:

Approach International Student Center, INC. is joining BaluarteUSA in launching a GoFundMe campaign to provide immediate relief to those impacted by this disaster. Approach will match up to $15,000 in donations to support local victims.
