I am coming to the community to ask for help in this time of need. Money raised will serve purpose to act against this senseless act of hate and violence committed against me, helping to pay for: unsolicited medical bills, food, transportation, legal advice, and lodging (no longer safe at current home). On the night of Saturday, July 13th, I was assaulted and shot by, at the time, a close family relative. After smiling and fleeing the scene, that family member left me to bleed at my own home. With the help of friends and other family members, I was able to survive long enough to be taken to a hospital. Said hospital could only do so much due to it being a trauma case (not equipped for) in which I was sent to another hospital. The shooter is still roaming the streets and has also been seen gloating about the shooting on social media. This is all happening at a time where I am 2 months away from moving away and accomplishing my dreams, in which now, I may not be able to due to not being able to physically work (Server, artist, DJ). It is not yet clear how long it will take for the wound to heal enough for me to work and support myself completely again. I appreciate anything that can help me in this series of uncanny events.
