Hi, my name is Vivian, and along with my sister Valerie and family, we are helping raise funds for our sister, Vickie.

Vickie is an incredible, one-of-a-kind woman, full of strength, compassion, and a heart that pours into others every single day. As a dedicated teacher, she has spent her life investing in children, shaping lives, and showing up with patience, love, and encouragement.

Recently, Vickie was diagnosed with a large brain tumor and underwent a major surgery (craniotomy). By God’s grace, surgeons were able to remove approximately 95% of the tumor. A small portion remains due to its location near critical areas and will be carefully monitored moving forward. Additional treatment may be needed in the future depending on how it progresses.

Vickie is currently in intensive rehabilitation in Missoula, Montana, where she is working daily to regain strength, mobility, and independence, especially on her right side. Being away from home in Kalispell adds another layer to this journey, and this phase will take time, perseverance, and continued care.

While we are so grateful for how far Vickie has come, there are still multiple stages of healing ahead. As she continues with monitoring, therapy, and ongoing care, there will also be medical expenses, travel, and time away from work. Our hope is to ease that burden so she can fully focus on recovery. One of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been the incredible love surrounding her from family and friends. This photo captures a glimpse of that love, especially from her brother Michael, her “brain buddy brother.”
