My mom, Vickie Chase, has always been my rock and my best friend. She’s the person who has always been there for me no matter what, and now she’s facing one of the hardest battles of her life.

Over the past year, my mom has been dealing with severe pain that no one should have to endure. It was a long struggle just to get health insurance, and even after finally seeing a doctor and going to the hospital, she was sent home with reassurance that everything seemed okay. But the pain kept getting worse, and deep down we knew something wasn’t right.

After a surgery to finally find out what was going on, we received the devastating news — my mom has cancer. She was then in the hospital for a little over a month, going through everything that came with this diagnosis, which has been incredibly difficult on her physically and emotionally.

Right now we are trying to navigate the next steps, treatments, and everything that comes with this diagnosis. Because of her condition, she is unable to work, and the financial stress is quickly building on top of everything else.

The donations from this fundraiser will help cover:

• Medical bills

• Medications and treatments

• Transportation to and from chemotherapy

• Basic living expenses like rent, groceries, and daily necessities

My mom is incredibly strong, but no one should have to fight something like this alone. All I want is for her to be able to focus on healing and hopefully return to the life she loves without the constant worry about how she will get through each day financially.
