Help My Mom After Losing The Love Of Her Life

Our hearts are heavy as we share the passing of my stepdad, William Michael Abel Jr. He was a loving husband, father, Grand-dad and friend. To know him was to love him. His loss has left a deep void in our lives. Along with the grief, Vickie is now facing financial burdens that are overwhelming during this already difficult time so I am starting this GoFundMe and asking if you could please help my mother.

Mike Abel, was diagnosed with aggressive small cell carcinoma lung cancer that moved to his brain about a year ago, my mother was there by his side and took care of him until his very last breath that he took at home on September 25th 2025 .

My mom was unable to work because she was the only one there to care for him and her 18-month-old grandson, whom she has had custody of since he was born. She is not asking for any handouts, she just needs a little help to get her back on her feet after this tragedy. She has asked me to include this, and she wrote...

My heart is heavy as I write this. Recently, I lost someone very dear to me – my husband Mike. His passing has left a hole in my heart and my life that I can’t even begin to describe. On top of the grief, I am struggling to cover his funeral expenses, and my vehicle has become unreliable and unsafe to drive. The weight of financial stress has become overwhelming.

I’m reaching out for help during one of the hardest times of my life. I need assistance with:

Covering a few of Mike’s funeral expenses like flyers and a CD with pictures of him and his loved ones, and any other expense that may come up.

Paying off a Tennessee title loan to get my truck title back.

Fixing my truck so I can have reliable transportation.

Keeping up with basic bills and necessities so I don’t fall further behind.

Any monetary help – debit or credit, cash, gift cards, or any support – would mean the world to me. Every little bit helps – whether it’s $5, sharing this fundraiser, or offering a kind word.

I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but right now I can’t do it alone. If you can find it in your heart to help, I will be forever grateful. Your kindness will not only ease the financial burden but also bring me comfort knowing I’m not walking through this season by myself.

Thank you for your compassion, love, and generosity. God bless you.
