I am the producer of the senior thesis short film, Vicente, working to bring writer and director Victor Bautista’s vision to life. Our project was born out of a desire to tell a story that feels both deeply personal and widely relatable. In today’s America, we’re witnessing a rise in prejudice and xenophobia, with hatred becoming so normalized that it often goes unnoticed. I’ve seen this shift in my own community, and my response was to help create this film. Vicente is not just a symbol; he’s a person navigating the everyday realities of life, and we want the film to reflect that honesty.

To bring Vicente to life, we need help raising funds for equipment rentals, insurance certificates for our gear and filming locations, food for our dedicated cast and crew, and the permits required to shoot in our chosen spaces. Meeting these needs will allow us to craft a film that is both impactful and authentic, one that can truly touch the hearts of viewers. The funds will ensure we have the right tools, a safe and comfortable environment for everyone on set, and the ability to film in locations that best serve the story.
