It's with heavy hearts that we inform you that during the early hours of Friday, September 16, 2022, Kathy (Sweet Pea) passed away following her courageous battle with cancer.

A few months ago, we learned that she was ill and that the prognosis was not good. Though Sweet Pea was a fighter, she succumbed to her illness and passed away surrounded by loved ones.

Sweet Pea was involved in the life of the Camp Chestermere in a variety of ways, including doing deep cleans in the kitchen, working on the gardens and sewing a number of items including the creation of covers for the juice machine and mixer.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Camp Chestermere. Camp Chestermere is working on plans for ways to honour Sweet Pea, and this information will be released soon.

In addition, if you would like to make contributions to assist with funeral costs, then this Go Fund Me account is still active and will serve as a means of supporting the family during this difficult time.
