After recently finding a litter of vulnerable newborn kittens abandoned in a dumpster, we were able to get them to safety. This experience revealed an urgent need, and we are now working to provide immediate veterinary care and essential support for these kittens. Funds raised will go directly toward critical medical expenses such as check-ups, vaccinations, and necessary treatments to give these fragile animals the best chance at a healthy life.
As part of this effort, funds will also be used to support veterinary care for the mother cat ensuring she can receive the medical attention she needs, including being spayed and vaccinated. This work follows a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) approach, a humane and effective method used to reduce the number of homeless cats. Through TNR, cats are safely trapped, receive medical care, and are returned to their outdoor environment, helping prevent future litters while improving their overall health and reducing stray populations over time.
While searching for the mother, several male cats in the neighborhood were also humanely trapped. Funds will help cover their neutering and vaccinations as well, which is a critical step in preventing further litters and reducing overpopulation in the area.
This effort is also the beginning of a larger goal to create a nonprofit animal sanctuary dedicated to supporting animals in need within our community.
Any contribution makes a difference in helping provide critical care to these kittens and creating a better future for them.
