Vessel Coffee House & Art Cafe — located at 506 N. Mangum Street Suite 102 Durham, NC — just celebrated its grand opening on June 29th as a beautiful new space for art, coffee, and community in the heart of downtown Durham.

Sadly, in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 15th, the shop was broken into. The front door was damaged, and money was stolen from the register. Thankfully, no one was present or hurt — for that, we are deeply grateful.

After speaking with insurance, the estimated out of pocket costs related to this burglary comes to $1,000. As you can imagine, that’s a tough hit for any small business — especially one that just opened its doors a few weeks ago.
