I'm Veronica Agard, a writer and facilitator, and I was recently selected to present at the Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology's upcoming conference, happening May 14–16, 2026, at York University. The conference is centered on "Madness, Mysticism, and the Reenchantment of Psychology," and I'd love your support in getting there!
This moment is deeply connected to the work I’ve been nurturing through Ancestors in Training™ and my writing of my debut book – exploring memory, community, and healing, and what’s possible when we hold those spaces with both rigor and imagination.
This season has also brought change. I’m still finding my balance after being let go from my previous role last August, while staying committed to the work that calls me forward.
At the same time, the broader landscape for the humanities and social sciences has been shifting. Funding for this kind of inquiry – work that explores cultures of healing and meaning-making – is limited and hard to achieve without collective support.
To make this trip possible, I’m raising $1,100 to cover registration, travel, and lodging.
If my work has ever resonated with you, supported you, or given words to something you’ve felt, I would be grateful for your help in stepping into this moment fully. If you recall, we successfully raised funds for me to attend a similar conference back in 2018, which was deeply transformative for my practice.
Every contribution, share, and affirmation helps carry this work forward and gets me closer to additional opportunities and paid work. Thank you for being part of this journey with me!
