June 01, 2019 Veronica’s & Jon Wedding - This was the happiest day of their lives, starting a new chapter - married life with their son and 2 daughters. Like many young couples, my daughter in law and son were so happy and full of life, looking forward to their new lives together raising their 3 beautiful children AJ (9) Jazlyn (7) & Olivia (4)….On September 30, 2021 their lives took a devastating turn, my daughter in law and 2 grand-daughters were in a head on collision due to Veronica suffering from a sudden seizure and that day changed their lives.

Veronica (28 yrs old) is an amazing beautiful, patient, caring young lady with a HUGE heart, has always been a very healthy person, never ill and always strong. But on September 30th 2021 she was advised that the sudden seizure was caused by a mass on her brain. A month later after a biopsy was performed, she was told it was a Grade III Astrocytomas Glioma Brain Tumor, this has changed their young lives dramatically.

On February 7 2022 Veronica experience new symptoms and was advised that the tumor has grown significantly and was referred to UCLA for surgery to remove most of tumor since it is too close to a highly sensitive part of her brain, surgery must be done within the next 3 weeks, then she will need chemotherapy & radiation treatments. Veronica will need to be monitored closely for some time after surgery and treatments.

My son was advised that the surgery recovery time could be from 4-8weeks and during that time my daughter in law would need in home care and require therapy.

Veronica, trust her UCLA medical team but has decided that she would also like to research alternative medicine as well.

Even after all this life changing news, their world has been tossed upside down. Veronica, refuses to let this cancer take her down and will fight to beat this. Veronica, my son and their children remain strong and have an abundance of faith in God for healing especially my 7-year-old grand-daughter (Jazzy), she tells me she prays to Diosito (God) every night to heal her mommy.

This is a going to be a difficult and long journey for Veronica and her family, we pray for her healing & full recovery!!

Many of you have asked how you could support Veronica; your prayers are the first request for strength for healing and are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! The funds raised here will help ease the burden of stressing about finances and give Veronica & my son some peace of mind to focus ALL their energy on beating this cancer. Unfortunately, current insurance plans are not the greatest and medical bills and expenses don't stop for cancer! Any amount will make a difference and help to reach the goal.
