Veronica Olga Gianferri, 64, passed away on March 25, 2025, at Exeter Hospital, after a 20-year courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 23, 1960, in Quinta Normal, Chile, the daughter of the late Rene Joel Palomo and Gloria America Maturana-Carrerra.
Veronica spent the first 11 years of her life in Chile before immigrating to the United States with her brother Rene, settling in Beverly, MA. She graduated from Beverly High School, where she enjoyed participating in plays and dreamed of becoming an opera singer.
Above all, family was the most important part of Veronica’s life. In the mid-1990s, while working in Hi-Tech companies, she met the love of her life, John Gianferri. They married on March 1, 1998, and made their home in Peabody and West Peabody, MA, before moving to Brentwood, NH, in 2001 and then to Deerfield, NH, in 2006, where they built a home together.
Following her cancer diagnosis, Veronica found it difficult to secure employment, so she started her own residential and commercial cleaning business, Rags & Roses Professional Maid Cleaning, LLC. Before that, she had worked in Hi-Tech, with roles at Textron Defense, Bay Networks, and Nortel Networks.
Veronica had tremendous Christian faith and loved studying the Bible. She cherished time spent in Bible study with her close friends, Eric and Wendy, and her old friend, Donna. A gifted artist, she specialized in oil painting and drawing, creating dolls, purses, and other handcrafted items. She also enjoyed singing karaoke, visiting the beach, and traveling to New York to watch her beloved grandson, DeClan, play hockey.
She dreamed of living on a small farm, surrounded by animals, and enjoyed caring for her rabbits, birds, fish, dogs, goats, and chickens.
Veronica is survived by her loving husband, John Gianferri; her daughter and son-in-law, ChasaRae and Dennis Webb; her cherished grandson, DeClan Webb; her brothers, Rene Palomo, twins Jeffrey and John Palomo, James Palomo; and Andre Palomo and his wife, Heather, her sisters, Bernadina Dumas and Elizabeth Gloria Palomo; her uncle, Fernando Palomo; and her cousins, Roxana and Patricio Alveal, many special nieces & nephews and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 5:30 PM, at Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH. Friends and family may visit with the family from 3:00 PM until the start of the service.
